I’m Amwu (am-woo), the hands behind Amwu Clarity!

It all started when I was a kid… I had a coloring book full of models just waiting to be dressed up, and I loved pouring my ideas on paper.

I started knitting when I was 11 and kept at it for years without any particular vision. In my teens, I was into fashion photography and modeling but didn’t have the resources to pursue that dream.

In 2021, feeling stuck in my life in Montreal, I decided to make a big change: I dropped everything and booked a one-way ticket to Jamaica. About two years later, I picked up crochet as a pastime, and before I knew it, I was hooked! What started as a simple hobby quickly turned into a business.

Now, here we are at the beginning of 2025, building a collection and a website!

Every piece you will find on amwuclarity.com is designed and handmade by me. I love playing with color and i mostly create wearable that stands out but still feels comfortable to wear on a daily basis.

I’m always amazed by how a single string can turn into fabric and being able to fulfill my basic needs with my passion is a true blessing.
